IMPACT MINISTRIES, INC - OUR PURPOSE

OUR PURPOSE:
Our purpose is in our name. The word IMPACT in our name is an acronym. Individual / Missionary / Participation / And / Christian / Training.

Our purpose is to win and then teach people how to walk in a daily love relationship of obedience giving all glory to the LORD Jesus Christ. We train and encourage others to be involved in a life style of mission work at home across their state and overseas as the chief means of bringing glory to the Lord Jesus. We provide Bible training and hands on mission opportunities for individualsSunday school classes and entire churches who are willing to raise their own funding to serve the LORD on the mission field. We have been lead to train people through the use of small discipling groups. This was the model the LORD Jesus used. We believe the use of the accountability factor at this level is very encouraging and stabilizing for the individuals involved in missions work. Our model is found in II Timothy 2:2 and our motivation is found in our statement of purpose taken from the scriptures in Luke chapter 1:77-79 "...to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death…”

OUR MISSION:
To find "faithful" men and women and train them that they may go back to reach their people for Christ and train those who are faithful to go and reach others who are able to teach others also and so on and on. This method is lifted from the teachings of the apostle Paul in II Timothy 2:2. "...the same commit thou to faithful men who shall be able to teach others also.” Yes we preach and teach in the small churches in different villages and even in the large regional churches in UkraineRomaniaHungryRussia and hopefully this year in India. We work with them in church planting mass evangelism and crusades. But the focus of our work and funding is in the training and support of Regional Bible Institutes. These Bible Institutes more than any other work provides leaders capable of reaching others and teaching the individual church members to do the ministry of the church. (Ephesians 4:11 & 12) Which is to “GO” and “TURN MEN INTO DISCIPLES” (Matt. 28:19 & 20). These Bible Institute workers have enrolled are meeting with and teaching at seminary level at any given time about three hundred students in once a week discipleship type Bible study. This Bible Institute is now under the leadership of Brother Ruslan Bratash. He started with the Bible Institute in 1991 as a student under Rev. Ivan (John) Fedorovych Tsihotsky. Brother John was also the pastor of "The Voice Of The Gospel Baptist Church". (This is what we refer to as our “home church” when we are in Ukraine) This was the leading church in the city of "Kamyanets-Podilsky" (pop.120000.) Brother John has now moved to Oregon where he and his children attend the University and minister to the east-European community there.

OUR GOAL:
First to support the Bible Institutes we plant in their work of making disciples as long as proper. We know that there is coming a time when the door of opportunity to do mission work in these former Soviet nations will close but we will carry on with the others. We feel that GOD has lead us to be about the business of training “initiated popular leadership” (nationals reaching nationals) as well as pastors in winning and training their people for Christ. This we are convinced is the strongest work we can leave behind for any nation. The church will have to be a people who will know how to win and disciple other people for Christ. Next we see the need for such a work to be conducted among the “median single staff family chapel” type churches in America. We have developed and operate a “Bible Institute” for the purpose of being a resource for their pastors and other leadership. This is known as “The Discipler’s Bible Institute.” Also we have a vision of one day establishing a "Trust Fund" that would generate enough funding to pay a full time worker to lead in this work. (As of now all work is done by volunteers who must raise their own support to pay their own way.) IMPACT MINISTRIES was founded as a "faith" mission work. When a church puts IMPACT MINISTRIES Inc. in their mission budget every dollar goes on the field to accomplish the mission work. Our goal is to always be a mission work where a church can give mission support and not have deductions for salaries, insurance and other such expenses. We try to keep everything simple and to the point. We don't have a lot of rules and by-laws. We discuss the state of affairs with the contributing church pastors the needs we have found at the moment and pray for wisdom and guidance from the LORD. We constantly seek the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We believe that having anything else to depend on may cause us to loose focus on the work the LORD has laid on our hearts. WE SEEK HIS LEADERSHIP AT ALL TIMES IN EVERYTHING WE DO AND ARE WILLING TO PAY ANY PRICE TO SEE THE WILL OF GOD ACCOMPLISHED IN OUR LIVES.
